Me made may is flying by, I can't believe it is already the end of week two! I wore all my favourites this week, and made a new Nita wrap skirt to boot!  I'm excited to share more photos of it with you on Monday.  Also, if you are interested, I made a Spotify playlist that I have been listening to nonstop, perfect for a sunny weekend - check it out below! #mmmay16 day eight! I'm wearing my #aldershirtdress by @grainlinestudio and my #grangerbag, a free PDF pattern by me! You can grab it on my website 🙂 #memadewardrobe #memade #maker #isewmyownclothes...

Happy Wednesday, makers!  I am still recovering from the amazing Our Social Fabric sale last weekend here in Vancouver.  It was so crazy!  I got a bunch of new fabrics, mostly knits because I am trying to sew more casual wear. I’ve been organizing and rearranging fabrics (I am running out of room), and finding all sorts of things I had forgotten about.  It is exciting and also daunting to look through one's stash….better get sewing and make some space! News Indie Sew now has the Glea dress by Whitney Deal available on their site. Christine Haynes released a new...

Fabric stashes are not just made up of impulse purchases an 1/2 meter remnants.  In fact, I stash mostly fabric that I love too much to cut into.  I feel silly about this issue, and I think it encourages me to purchase more fabric because I am paralyzed by the thought of potentially ruining something I already have.  What is up with this?!  I bought it because I wanted to wear it, not stare at it.  I’m proud of myself this month for finally letting go of this fear and cutting into one of my most prized fabrics, this Cotton+Steel...

Seamwork Kenedy Dress by Helen's Closet

I have a serious addiction to sack dresses.  This never used to be the case for me, but I can’t seem to make any other silhouette that I prefer more than a plain old sack.  Sure, the fit and flare is a fantastic style, and body-con is undeniably flattering, but I can’t keep away from the sack….ok, that came out weird.  Lucky for me, the sack is in!  I couldn’t be happier these days with this trend being so prevalent, I can get away with wearing tights, flats, and a sack literally anywhere.  Of course, for very special occasions, one...
