Wednesday Weekly

Happy Valentines Day! I hope you are all getting lots of love today, be it from your partners, pets, family, or the sewing community. My partner, Sam, is out of town this week so I am flying solo, but I have exciting plans to watch the Bachelor with friends and work on my knitting project. I am making progress on the hat that we are knitting in my class, but I have to say that it is humbling to be a beginner at something! There are SO many mistakes in my first project and it is taking every fibre of my being to resist ripping it out and starting over. I know that I need to leave perfectionism at the door in order to learn, so I am really trying to push on. My next projects will be better and I am finally feeling like I know how to knit!

Blog Comments

I always love wednesday weekly’s but you really nailed it this week. I follow a ton of sewing blogs but there were a lot of new to me blogs this week. I’ll be cruising through their blogs for awhile

I feel the same way about sewing as you seem do about knitting 🙂 Sligthy intimidated but really wanting to learn! I’m a very accomplished knitter, teaching classes and everything, but sewing… not so much these days. I sewed a lot of clothes in my teens, decades ago, but quit when I just couldn’t find fabric (fabric stores closing down, or just carrying curtain fabric, no internet back then) Now I have recently discovered indie sewing patterns and your wonderful podcast and your Wednesday roundup posts are so so helpful, thank you!
