Wednesday Weekly #81

Happy Wednesday! I hope you all had a fun and relaxing long weekend for Easter!  I spent a sunny afternoon replanting my container garden wearing shorts. SHORTS! It was so nice and now I have all the necessary herbs for summer cooking and mojito making. I know it snowed in the colder parts of Canada this week, so to those of you who have not yet seen the light of Spring, hang in there!!  It is coming soon, promise.  In the meantime, here is some spring sewing inspiration to distract you :).

I am also loving embroidery right now. I’m getting ready to start an embroidery project myself, but in the meantime I’ve been drooling over Maddie’s sweet easter dress: So cute, right??

Sometimes it pays to read the comments!

It’s a good thing that cacti print featured by Bee Made isn’t in stock, because I would definitely be seriously considering shipping 25 euro a meter fabric to the US! Great roundup!

Ping from Peneloping always makes the most amazing things! That dress is nuts! I love it. That cactus print shirt is so cute, too. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Fabulous inspiration! And thanks for the shout out 🙂

Seeing all this hand embroidery showing up on jeans delights me no end! It makes me feel so nostalgic I really must do it for myself. I used to do this with my jeans and most favourite maxi jean skirt (made from recycled jeans) back in 1974! Not a lie. It used to make my father laugh seeing all these colourful embroidered flowers showing up on my most loved and decrepit jeans. He said, “I really hope I’m not going to have to see flowers cropping up on your crotch in the near future. That would be just too much for me to deal with.” I wondered what that meant and if indeed it would be worth finding out 🙂

Thanks so much for mentioning my blog Ginger Stitch! 🙂
