Posted by Helen | 27/11/2015 | Into My Closet

A couple of months ago, I did a guest post on Closet Case Files about my short Sallie Dress variation.  I love the way that dress turned out and I wear it all. the. time.   It is a great fall dress with a jacket, warm tights, and a cozy scarf.  Naturally I wanted to make another, but this time I decided to change things up a bit with a mashup!       For my second Sallie dress, I wanted to add flare to the skirt so that it flows away from my hips in an A-line shape.  I really...

Helen's Closet Davie Dress by Sewaholic Patterns
Posted by Helen | 20/11/2015 | Into My Closet

You guys, the Davie Dress by Sewaholic Patterns is serious business.  It is one of the most flattering, comfortable, and versatile garments I have made to date, and I'm kicking myself for not sewing it up sooner!  I love the way it fits tightly at the waist and flares out along the hips.  The pattern features two top variations and two lengths, this one is view B.  I'm also modelling one of my first me-made bags in some of these shots, my striped backpack which I adore even though it is now falling apart after years of use.      ...
