One of my favourite features of this pattern is that it works great with vertical or horizontal stripes. It has straight side seams and a straight hem, so there is no distortion of the print!

This version is made in a super lux polyester that looks and feels amazing. Poly may not be everyone’s first choice, but the fact that it doesn’t wrinkle and drapes beautifully is definitely a plus! Like all fabrics, there is a wide range in quality, and if you get the good stuff you may find this fabric works well for you! Paired with heels, this pattern takes on a more polished look appropriate for work or a dinner out.

If you make the Winslows in a print like this, you will notice that the pleats are less visible. The skirt illusion is also heightened because it is harder to see the individual pant legs. Depending on what end result you want, you may choose a solid or a less busy print.

If you haven’t already, you can grab the Winslow Culottes this week for 15% off! Sale ends Monday, May 22nd!
