Happy Wednesday!  I have been a little under the weather for the past week, so I have not been sewing much. I always start to feel bad when I haven’t touched my machine in a few days, I want so badly to make something!!!  I hope to get back to it soon, and these new patterns and your latest makes are certainly inspiring me!  What’s your secret for getting the sew-jo going again?

I used to turn my old jeans into mini skirts all the time as a teenager. This post from Seemannsgarn reminded me how fun and easy this is!

Helen, I’m in a similar headspace to what you’re describing… some funky sew-jo that’s been keeping me away from my machine. The sad thing is, I have the time to be doing it, so it’s just the work of my psyche that’s stopping me. There was a good post yesterday by the craft sessions (http://thecraftsessions.com/blog/2017/3/29/action-vs-fear) that’s helping me realize that if I’m waiting to be “in the mood”, I may be waiting forever. anyway, I hope that helps you too!

That is so true! I finally forced myself to cut out a tissue pattern I have been meaning to make for years (M6696), and that helped a lot. I think I also get a big bogged down by projects that languish like that, too, so it helps to break ground on them!

Thanks for the shoutout! I do enjoy your weekly roundups, lovely to be featured! 😉

Love the new blog, Sarah!

Sorry to hear you’ve been under the weather Helen. Hope you feel better soon. It’s hard when your sew-jo drops isn’t it. The only thing that works for me is not beating myself up about it and know it will sort itself out. If I rush it, it just sets me back. And thank you for the shout out on the buttonhole post!! 😁

Thanks for the mention!
