Happy first Wednesday of the new year, makers! I hope you are all full of excitement and sewjo for new projects and experiences. It has been so nice to take a week off and make some plans for 2017 while spending time with friends and family. I have quite a list of things (I always go a bit overboard with the whole resolution thing), but one thing I am trying this year is I am writing myself a letter. It includes my resolutions, but also communicates my desires for change and my feelings about where I am at in my life. I’m hoping next new year, when I read this letter, it will help put the past year in perspective and show me how far I have come. Feel free to join me if you would like to write your own letter!
I watched two fantastic TV series’ over the Christmas break, and if while I realize not everyone’s tastes are the same, some of you may enjoy these shows. Available on Canadian and American Netflix!
The Crown – A dramatized telling of Queen Elizabeths The Second’s first years as monarch. Beautiful scenes, lovely costumes, and some amazing acting from Claire Foy (The Queen) and John Lithgow (Winston Churchill).
Please Like Me – An Australian comedy that tackles some heavy subject matter in a very real, approachable, and funny way. I watched the series twice, actually, it is amazingly awesome.
